How to authorise GuestRevu to collect your Expedia reviews

To ensure your account’s security, Expedia requires you to authorise any third party applications (like GuestRevu) that need to access your data

The advantages of connecting GuestRevu and Expedia via the API: 

This article relates to:

  • PRO
  • GROUP
  • Reviews will be pulled into GuestRevu faster  
  • You can respond directly to Expedia reviews straight from GuestRevu 

Expedia only allows one provider at a time (a 1:1 relationship) to collect and manage reviews.

This means:

  • If you’d like GuestRevu to collect your Expedia reviews, you must make sure no other provider is connected.

  • If another provider is already connected, you’ll need to let Expedia know in writing that you’d like to switch from your current provider to GuestRevu.

  • Expedia will then process the change and confirm once GuestRevu is authorised.

This article will explain how to give GuestRevu permission to access your Expedia reviews so that they can be pulled into your GuestRevu account. 

  1. Navigate to your Expedia Partner Central Page
  2. Click on Help and Support on your left-hand side menu
  3. Search for “Add Connectivity Provider” within the search bar
  4. Click on Set up connectivity under Quick Tasks on the right-hand side of your screen
  5. Click on Add a provider
  6. Search for GuestRevu
  7. Select the services
  8. Confirm that you would like to add GuestRevu as a provider on Expedia
  9. The GuestRevu Support team will receive an automated email from Expedia with your Expedia ID to connect to your GuestRevu account
  10. Once your Expedia ID has been connected to your GuestRevu Account, you will receive a confirmation email from the GuestRevu support team

If you are already connected to another provider, here is how to request the switch

If you are already connected to another provider, please send the following email to Expedia (hoteldelivery@expedia.com):

Subject: Value Add API Reviews – Switch to GuestRevu – [Your Hotel Name] – [Date]

Dear Expedia Team,

I would like to request that GuestRevu be authorised as the review provider for our property:

  • Property name: [Insert property name]

  • Property ID: [Insert Expedia Property ID]

  • Current review provider: [Insert current provider name]

Please remove the current provider and connect GuestRevu as our new review provider.

Kindly confirm once the change has been completed.
