Authorising and deauthorising your Booking.com integration

To ensure your account’s security, Booking.com requires you to authorise any third-party applications (like GuestRevu) collecting your review data.

In this article, we will explain how to give GuestRevu permission to access your Booking.com reviews so that they can be pulled into your GuestRevu account.

Before you begin:

  • Make sure that you’re logged into Booking.com in another tab
  • You need to be an Admin User for the relevant Booking.com Page to give GuestRevu access

 

  1. Log in to your GuestRevu account at https://my.guestrevuapp.com
  2. Select the property that you would like to authorise GuestRevu for
  3. Click on Account in the menu on the left of the app, and then on Account Preferences in the dropdown menu. 
  4. Once in the account preferences screen, select the  Booking Authorisation tab, and then click on the button that says Authorise Booking.com Account. Please note that the Booking.com Authorisation tab may take a few moments to load.

  1. A new window will open that asks you to fill in your Booking.com account details. 
  2. Grant GuestRevu permission by selecting Continue

The page will automatically refresh, taking you back to your Account Preferences. Under the Booking.com Authorisation tab, confirmation will show that Booking.com has now been authorised.

After you have authorised Booking.com, you can respond to any review directly from within GuestRevu.

How to De-Authorise GuestRevu's access to your Booking.com account

  1. Log in to your GuestRevu account at https://my.guestrevuapp.com
  2. Select the property that you would like to deauthorise GuestRevu for
  3. Click on Account in the menu on the left of the app, and then on Account Preferences in the dropdown menu. 
  4. Once in the account preferences screen, select the Booking.com Authorisation tab, and then click on the button that says De-Authorise Booking.com Account

After you have De-Authorised Booking.com from your GuestRevu application, you will need to do the same in your Booking.com account.

  1. Make sure that you’re logged into Booking.com in another tab
  2. You need to be an Admin User for the relevant Booking.com page to give GuestRevu access
  3. Navigate to your Account and click on Connected Applications

  1. Select GuestRevu to expand the application and click on Revoke Access
