Can I prevent guests who stay with me very regularly from receiving a questionnaire every time they visit?

GuestRevu automatically prevents repeat guests who visit you frequently from receiving an invitation email every time they stay.

By default, GuestRevu will only send one survey to the same guest every two months, but you can choose a different time limit if you prefer. For example, if you have a particular guest who stays every week for business in the area, she will receive an email the first time she stays asking for her feedback, and then will only get another invitation two months later (or after the delay you have specified).

Can I customise how regularly repeat guests receive a questionnaire?

Yes, you can choose from the following options for email invitation frequency limits:

  • No Limitation - All guests will receive a questionnaire every stay 
  • 1 month
  • 2 months 
  • 3 months 
  • 4 months 
  • 5 months 
  • 6 months 

Warning: The email frequency limit often acts as a failsafe. For example, if you manually upload guests, it's easy to upload the same list twice by mistake. The frequency limit will prevent the guest from receiving an invitation email twice in error. Please be aware of this if you choose to set no limitation on email frequency

To change the email frequency limit for your account: 

  1. Log in to your GuestRevu account at https://my.guestrevuapp.com
  2. Click on Account > Account Preferences in the left-hand menu
  3. Select your preferred Invitation Limit from the dropdown list
  4. Click Save 

Ensuring a specific repeat guest gets a survey every time they visit

If you have only one or two guests who stay frequently who you would like to receive survey invitations frequently, you can add them to the “Exception List”. This is a list of guests who are not subject to the Invitation Limit described above.  

To add a guest to the Exception List 

  1. Log in to your GuestRevu account at https://my.guestrevuapp.com
  2. Click on Guests > Exception List 
  3. Click on Add Guest to Exception List 
  4. A window will open where you can add the guest’s email address
  5. Click Add 
  6. The email address will be added to the list, and every time the guest stays they will be sent an email

How do I remove a guest from the Exception List?

Go to the Exception List 

  1. Click on Actions next to the guest you want to remove from the list 
  2. Select Remove. The guest will be removed, and will now only receive a question once every two months (unless you have changed the default timing on this setting). 

How do I stop a particular repeat guest from ever getting a questionnaire? 

If you don’t want a guest to ever receive an invitation to complete a questionnaire, you will need to add them to the unsubscribe list

How many reminder emails does a guest receive? 

By default, each guest is sent one reminder email if they don’t complete your questionnaire after the first email invite, but you can customise how many reminders are sent.

Repeat guests often have particularly valuable insights, and can give you an insight into how your guest experience changes over time. Make sure you get feedback from them as often as they will give it to you!
